Italian journalist Paolo Condo feels that Inter have taken control in the Scudetto race once again after the results in Serie A over the weekend.

Writing in his column in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, Condo gave the view that by showing that they can comfortably beat Hellas Verona, the Nerazzurri look to be the favourites.

Inter now have their fate in their hands once again as far as their pursuit of the Serie A title, as they can guarantee themselves a second title on the bounce if they take maximum points from their remaining matches.

It’s been an up-and-down season for all the main Scudetto contenders, but after relinquishing a strong grasp on the title Inter have gotten control back.

Not only are the Nerazzurri back in a good position in terms of their points in the table, but they also appear to have confidence and momentum, important factors at this stage of the season.

“Inter have taken up the mantle of favourites comes back after passing the Verona test in convincing fashion,” Sconcerti writes, “yet another twist in a season that’s been more enjoyable for its unpredictability than technical quality.”
