Joaquin Correa To Be Called Up For Inter’s Clash With Spezia But Stefan De Vrij Likely Left Out, Italian Broadcaster Reports

Inter forward Joaquin Correa will be fit to be included in the squad for Friday’s Serie A clash with Spezia, but Stefan de Vrij is likely to miss out.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that Correa will be called up for the match but that de Vrij will in all likelihood be absent as a precaution.

Correa was substituted off midway through the second half of Inter’s Serie A win over Hellas Verona over the weekend, with the Argentine having taken a heavy blow to the knee during the match.

However, this was purely a precaution, and there is no reason to expect that he has picked up an injury serious enough to rule him out of participation in the Nerazzurri’s next match.

De Vrij, meanwhile, has not sustained a serious thigh injury, but the strain should still be enough that he will not even be risked on the bench for the team’s trip to Liguria later this week.
