Legendary former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi feels that Inter have gotten themselves back to the forefront in Serie A.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, he gave the view that the Nerazzurri’s recent results have gotten them back to the top of the pile and contrasted their recent form with that of AC Milan and Napoli.

Inter have won two matches out of two since the return from the international break, sending a much-needed message to the rest of the league that they have not been bogged down by their form from February and March.

Now, while the Nerazzurri are not yet back in the position they have gotten themselves into after their eight-match winning run earlier in the campaign, they are in control of their own fate in the title race and playing confidently.

It remains to be seen if Inter can keep this form up over the decisive final few matches of the season or if there is another twist in the Scudetto pursuit, but right now they look to be on top.

“Inter have forced themselves back into the front,” Tacchinardi said. “Milan, when they could have accelerates, slowed down. They don’t score any more.”

“Napoli also faced a significant setback, now we have to see if Spalletti can get them back on track,” he added.
