Inter defender Stefan de Vrij trained individually today after picking up a thigh strain in the team’s win over Hellas Verona on Saturday, but the club are not worried about his health.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 30-year-old will not be rushed back to full training but that the injury setback should not be a lengthy one.

De Vrij was substituted off for the second half of the Nerazzurri’s win over Verona, having played the entire first half on making his return from a calf problem but having then picked up a minor thigh issue.

The Dutchman is not yet back in full training, and it is not clear whether he will be back in time to face Spezia on Friday.

However, there are no more tests scheduled for the injury, which the club’s medical staff should not be a serious or lingering issue.
