AC Milan striker Zalatan Ibrahimovic will be out of the Rossoneri’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Inter through injury.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Swede will be unable to play in the match due to a knee problem.

Ibrahimovic had to pull out of the Rossoneri’s draw against Torino over the weekend not long before the match, after feeling discomfort in his knee.

After tests on the problem, the club’s medical tests have decided that around ten days of rest and rehabilitation will be necessary to fully heal the injury.

As such, the 40-year-old will not be able to return in time for the massive Milan derby for a place in the final of the Coppa Italia.

As such, it is likely that Olivier Giroud will once again start for Milan in the match, as he had in the first leg in March as well as the league meeting between the sides in February.
