Torino defender Bremer’s value is only getting higher as the season goes on, and the Granata could be hoping to sell him for a much higher fee than anticipated.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that the major Inter target has showed the kind of form which could very well see him go for a very large transfer fee.

Bremer has undoubtedly been one of the standout defenders in Serie A this season, and his performances in big matches over the second half of the campaign have if anything cemented him as the best defender in the Italian top flight.

The 24-year-old had been valued at around €20 million by his club at the start of the season, but now this has shot up.

Torino had reportedly been hoping for a fee of around €25-30 million if they sell the Brazilian in the summer, but they may be thinking even this is too low.

Tuttosport note that when Juventus signed Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax in the summer of 2019 it was for €85 million, while fees well in excess of €50 million have been the norm for the very highest-quality players in the position.

Based on his displays for Torino this campaign it would be difficult to argue that Bremer does not belong in this category, and even if the market is in a very contracted state due to the pandemic, his value could be high.

It remains to be seen how much the Brazilian eventually goes for, and how this would affect Inter’s pursuit of him, but at the moment it appears that he will not go for cheap.
