Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio is set to stay on with the Nerazzurri for at least one more season, with the club prepared to extend his contract past the end of June.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the 33-year-old continues to be in the club’s plans and that they will exercise an option to extend his deal.

D’Ambrosio signed an extension last summer which was for one season, but the contract also contained an option on the club’s part to extend his deal a further season.

The 33-year-old has remained an important player so far this campaign, and the club are convinced that he is still a part of their plans for at least one further season.

D’Ambrosio, who joined the Nerazzurri from Torino in January of 2014, should be a Nerazzurri until at least the end of June 2023 when the club give him another one-year contract.
