Ivan Perisic was the architect of both Inter’s goals in their 2-0 win over Bologna on Saturday evening, assisting both Nicolo Barella and Edin Dzeko with pinpoint crosses from the left side.
The 33-year-old has always had a strong creative influence for the Nerazzurri, but this was the first time in over a year that he has assisted two goals in a single match.
As football statistics account Opta pointed out in a tweet, this was the first time that Perisic did this since February of 2021 in the derby against AC Milan.
Their tweet reads, “2 – Ivan Perisic has delivered two assists in a single Serie A match for his first time since the derby won against AC Milan in February 2021. Inspired.”
