River Plate have come forward with an interest in signing Inter forward Alexis Sanchez during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Argentine giants are interested in signing the 33-year-old, though his wages could be an issue.

Sanchez’s future looks to be far away from Inter beyond the end of the season, though it remains to be seen where he will be playing.

According to the Gazzetta, there are also clubs in La Liga who are interested in bringing the Chilean in, although once again it remains to be seen how many teams would be able to accommodate his current wages at Inter.

The Nerazzurri could pay Sanchez a severance payment of €4 million in order to terminate his contract, although the situation could be different should the forward agree on a move to another club over the summer.
