Stefano Sensi could return to Inter from his loan with Sampdoria during the summer transfer window to be used as a backup option to Marcelo Brozovic.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the club are increasingly considering reintegrating the 26-year-old into the squad starting next season.

Sensi’s current contract at Inter runs out at the end of June 2024, but his future in the team has been far from certain given his struggle to find minutes.

The midfielder has been getting regular game time on loan with the Blucerchiati, though he has been linked with a permanent exit in the summer.

However, the Nerazzurri are beginning to warm up to the idea of keeping him in the squad if he can show fitness in his time in Liguria, as they would not have to search for a midfielder on the market and he could also potentially deputize for Brozovic.
