Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo feels that for the moment the links between his club and Inter striker Lautaro Martinez are not to be talked about.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset ahead of his team’s Champions League draw against Manchester City, Cerezo suggested that the transfer rumours should not be a focus until after the season is done.

The Colchoneros have been linked as a possible destination for Martinez should he leave the Nerazzurri during the summer transfer window, with coach Diego Simeone an admirer.

The club from the Spanish capital could be ready to make a significant offer in order to convince the Nerazzurri if they see Martinez as the right player to strengthen their attack.

However, for the time being, their focus remains squarely on the pitch rather than on links with the Inter striker, according to their President Cerezo.

He stated that “Today is not the time to talk about LauToro and not even his brothers [a Spanish idiom], today we are here to talk about the game.”
