Inter are interested in bringing in Benfica striker Darwin Nunez during the summer transfer window, but such a move would almost certainly be beyond the realm of possibility.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who describe Nunez as an “unattainable dream” for the Nerazzurri.

Nunez has marked himself out as a major prospect this season, scoring important goals against the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool in the Champions League in addition to his blistering form in the Portuguese top flight.

Inter have been keeping an eye on the Uruguayan for some time, and he could be their dream target to bolster their attack even ahead of Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca.

However, even a sale of Lautaro Martinez would almost certainly not be enough to make a move for Nunez financially viable for the Nerazzurri given how his value has skyrocketed in light of his performances this season.
