Inter-linked striker Gianluca Scamacca has renewed his contract with Sassuolo until the end of June 2026.

This is confirmed in an announcement on the Neroverdi’s official site, where they state that the 23-year-old has extended his contract which had previously run until the end of June 2023.

It remains to be seen how the contract extension affects the Nerazzurri’s pursuit of Scamacca, with talks having already reportedly been taking place between the two clubs for some time.

Sassuolo could be using the new deal for Scamacca as leverage, so that they can avoid going into the summer transfer window where they know that if they don’t sell him they risk going into the final year of his deal and then losing him for free.

At any rate, the player remains one of Inter’s major targets for the summer transfer window, as they look to reinforce their attack with a high-quality young Italian player to lead the line for seasons to come.
