Wingback Robin Gosens and defender Danilo D’Ambrosio are both set to be given a start in Friday’s Serie A clash away to Spezia.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who reports that coach Simone Inzaghi is thinking about rotation of his team for the match ahead of the Coppa Italia match against AC Milan soon after.

Inzaghi is aiming to get the best out of his entire squad as the team make one final push in both Serie A and the Coppa Italia over the remaining weeks of the season.

Ivan Perisic has largely continued to be relied on at left wingback, but Gosens is fully ready to make his first start and has convinced the coach, while making sure Perisic is rested will be vital over the remaining matches of the season.

Meanwhile, Stefan de Vrij has no major fitness concerns but is nevertheless likely to be rested against Spezia, and Danilo D’Ambrosio is set to start on the right of a back three with Milan Skriniar playing centrally.
