The Coppa Italia gate receipts record is set to be broken when Inter and AC Milan face each other in a semi-final second leg later this month, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there are now just 1500 unsold tickets for the derby della Madonnina and they are in the central grandstand where it costs €200-250 and the third blue ring which costs €20.

The Nerazzurri has already collected gait receipts of €4 million which is a record for the entire competition including previous finals.

This has been able to happen because stadiums in Italy are now back open to 100% capacity and it will be the first full house at San Siro since the game against AC Milan in February 2020 that ended 4-2 to Antonio Conte’s Inter.

The first leg of this semi-final ended 0-0 so it will be all to play for when the two title challengers meet.
