Inter were hoping to be awarded a victory over Bologna on the grounds of force majeure, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter were resting their case in regard to the postponed Bologna match on the fact that they now have five games in 17 days to contest.

It was announced yesterday that Inter will have to play the match against Bologna that was postponed earlier in the season because of Covid-19 cases within the Rossoblu camp.

The local health authorities at that time had the power to stop Bologna from taking part in the game even though Inter had travelled down to the stadium.

The sporting judge decided that Inter’s reasons for wanting to be awarded an automatic 3-0 victory were not good enough and the game will be played on April 27.

The game was originally meant to be played in January.
