Inter’s Coppa Italia semi-final against AC Milan could raise more money through ticket sales than any other Coppa Italia match in history, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s semi-final against AC Milan may become a historic game because it is getting very close to being completely sold out and stadiums are now running at 100% capacity.

That means that in terms of revenue, Calcio e Finanza believes it could be the most lucrative Coppa Italia match ever. It could surpass the €4 million mark for gate receipts.

The current record is €3.81 million which was raised from the Juventus vs AC Milan final in 2018. The first leg of the semi-final ended 0-0 and given that was almost two months ago, the match at San Siro is effectively a one-off game.

Inter are also approaching 60,000 tickets sold for the visit of Roma on April 24.
