Inter and AC Milan are set to do battle for Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca but Inter need to raise money first, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the two Milanese clubs are the most likely possible destinations for Gianluca Scamacca.

The Neroverdi are hoping that he will open up to the possibility of a move abroad because that will help to raise his price tag but so far he has only shown interest in remaining in Italy.

For Inter to commit to the signing, they need to sell a big player such as Lautaro Martinez. Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevale is asking for €45 million plus bonuses and Inter have said they will pay that, as long as they sell first.

Beppe Marotta has also offered to take the player on loan with an obligation to buy him at the end of the season.
