Inter defender Milan Skriniar has said that the win over Juventus helped Inter get back on track this season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking after the 3-1 victory against Spezia on Friday night to Sky Sport, via FCInternews, the Slovakian defender said that the 1-0 win against Juventus recently helped the squad in many ways and they understood the following games more clearly.

“That match helped us a lot, from all points of view. In my opinion, we understood the matches, both with Verona and today: a fundamental detail from now to the end. The result of the work we are doing.”

Inter were on a really bad run of form before they managed to get the win at the Allianz Stadium and since then they have beaten Hellas Verona and Spezia. Milan Skriniar says it was the strength of the team and the coach’s ideas that turned things around.

“There is the strength of the team and the ideas of the coach who, with his staff, explained what we were doing wrong.”

Milan Skriniar usually plays on the right side of the three centre backs but in Stefan de Vrij’s absence, he moves into the middle. He says that he isn’t sure where he feels at his best but he will play where he is needed.

“This year I played in all three roles. From the centre it is different than on the right or left, but I don’t really know where I feel best. I play where the coach needs me. And then I’m even more happy if the team wins with my good performance.”
