Inter striker Joaquin Correa has said that Inter need to beat Spezia so that they can close the points gap with AC Milan, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking ahead of the match to Inter TV, via FCInternews, the Argentinian striker focused on how Inter must approach the game with humility and make sure they take all three points.

“Today is an important game, we must do well, play with humility and bring home the three points. Spezia have a lot of players who can make a difference, we must try to play our game to recover points gap to AC Milan.”

Inter are currently two points behind the Rossoneri with a game in hand so they will be top of Serie A again with three points in La Spezia.

AC Milan will be playing later on Friday evening where they can retake the lead in the title race with a win against Genoa at San Siro.

Joaquin Correa is starting the game against Spezia and it is his second start in a row now that he is back from a bad injury. He says he is recovering as best he can.

“I’m fine, I’m trying to recover as best I can to help the team. We always have to think game by game.”
