Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has said that people talk about him a lot but he has always given his best for Inter when he plays, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media this evening.

Speaking after the 3-1 win over Spezia to Inter TV, via FCInternews, the Argentinian forward hit out at his critics after he scored the Nerazzurri’s second goal of the game against the Ligurian side.

“People talk a lot and I don’t like it, I’ve always given my best for Inter and I don’t like certain voices. I try to give my all, obviously I don’t like being on the bench, but when I entered I gave my all for Inter which is what counts here.”

He then stressed that he has always been calm about his form and his future and he is focused on his work and his family rather than anything else.

“I’m happy with the game we played, we have prepared for this week and we are happy to bring home these three points. I have always been calm, I work for the team, to lend a hand to my teammates, I am focused on my work and I don’t listen to everything they talk about. I think about my family, those who love me and Inter, so I always have to give my best.”

When asked how he feels about Inter’s recent upturn in form after they won their third game in a row, Lautaro Martinez said he feels good and knows the team are doing a great job.

“Feeling good, we are doing a great job, we have lost some important points. We have now recovered and have everything in our hands. The path is still long, we have to recover and think about Tuesday.”

Lautaro Martinez’s goal was an unorthodox finish and the striker explained that he tried to put the ball in an area where the goalkeeper cannot reach it.

“I tried to put myself in front of the defender, I knew that Ivan Perisic’s cross was coming in and that that cross could reach the ground. I tried to put the ball where the goalkeeper couldn’t reach, it was the only way to get there.”
