Inter took all three points when recording their third straight win in a row in the Serie A after beating Spezia away 3-1.

The Nerazzurri started the match a little slow and had to wait until the 31st minute before Marcelo Brozovic broke the deadlock with a stunning strike.

Lautaro Martinez doubled Inter’s lead in the 73rd minute before Spezia got one back via Giulio Maggiore in the 88 th minute.

However, all doubts were dispersed as to where the three points were headed when Alexis Sanchez scored Inter’s third on the night.

Samir Handanovic – 7: Great save to help out Perisic who committed an uncharacteristic error. Moved the ball in the few times it reached him. Not a difficult night.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 6: Typical D’Ambrosio performance. Defended very well, conceded a few silly fouls but got an unintended assist to calm things down for all.

Milan Skriniar – 7: Another masterful performance in the centre of the defence. Marshalled his team very well and showed leadership in everything he did.

Alessandro Bastoni – 6.5: Had a shaky start but then showed his class to lock down Inter’s left flank. Looked more assured as the game went on. Great mentality.

Denzel Dumfries – 6: Not the finest Denzel game. Got into the right positions but never made a telling pass or a cross. His physicality always helps out in defence.

Nicolo Barella – 6.5: Looked a bit jittery at the start of the game and once Brozovic scored, he calmed down and gritted his teeth to produce what was needed.

Marcelo Brozovic – 7: First Serie A goal this season and what a time to score it! Brilliant in both phases of the game and the most important player in the squad.

Hakan Calhanoglu – 6.5: The recent weeks have brought about a different side of Hakan, the one who defends with grit and makes fewer mistakes when in attack.

Ivan Perisic – 6.5: Made a huge uncharacteristic mistake at the start of the game which needed Samir to bail him out. Looked tired in the last few minutes.

Edin Dzeko – 6: As is now usual Edin participated in every dangerous move that Inter created. Very unlucky to hit the post early on. Only missing a goal.

Joaquin Correa – 6: Took some time to get going but his positioning made the midfield look more balanced. The missed double chance sums him up brilliantly.

Alexis Sanchez – 6.5: When he comes on with the right hunger and mentality, he brings a lot to the table. Troubled the Spezia defence non-stop, deserved goal.

Lautaro Martinez – 7.5: Lautaro is back. Not just the goal and the assist. His overall play mirrored what we saw under Antonio Conte. Looked dangerous for 30 minutes. MOTM.

Matteo Darmian – 6: When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Came on and did not let Spezia create a lot. Made the most of his experience on the ball.

Arturo Vidal – 5.5: The only sub who did not look hungry. The goal was not his fault, but he was caught out of position and Ivan was not there to help him out.

Stefan De Vrij – SV: Did well in his 10 mins or so. Him coming on brought some confusion in Inter’s defence as Skriniar moved to the left but it did not cost much.

Simone Inzaghi – 6: Inter did not begin both halves with the right mentality, something Simone should look at. His substitutions were spot on and perfectly timed.

Fabio Maresca – 5.5: Did not have any major decisions to make. Good use of the VAR to confirm the goal. Got the usual few 50-50 decisions wrong. Nothing new

Inter – 6.5 : Crucial win on the road for Inter. These last three wins have reignited the team and the passing looked crispier as the game went on. Onward.
