Former Inter winger Amantino Mancini has said that Inter have the most technical quality out of the Scudetto chasing sides in Italy, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking during an interview with 1 Station Radio, via L’Interista, Amantino Mancini explained why he thinks Inter are the favourites to win the closely contested Serie A title this season.
“I like Napoli, but above all Inter. Inzaghi’s team is the one with the most technical quality and is a step above all, immediately after that I’ll put Napoli.”
Inter briefly moved to the top of the table on Friday evening when they beat Spezia 3-1 but AC Milan then beat Genoa 2-0 immediately afterwards and they are back on top.
Inter’s goals were scored by Marcelo Brozovic, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez. The latter two both came off the bench to have a decisive impact on the game.
Amantino Mancini joined Inter from AS Roma in 2008 but he was not able to continue his impressive Giallorossi form for the Nerazzurri.
He says this is because Jose Mourinho changed his way of playing: “At first I played, then he changed his way of playing in the second season and took me away without explanation. Things didn’t go as I wanted in my passage from Roma to Inter, but in football it happens. I have exceptional relationships with him, he’s great, he knows a lot about football and I admire him.”
