Inter appear to be back to their consistent best after their 3-1 win away to Spezia in Serie A yesterday evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who suggest that the Nerazzurri are looking like a steamroller once again after their ability to really dominate matches had appeared to dessert them for a while.

Inter endured a patch of poor form that began to look like a crisis throughout February and March, and a big part of the reason for this was that the team was not regularly imposing themselves on opponents like Genoa and Torino.

A win against Juventus was absolutely vital for snapping this sequence of bad results, but it did not necessarily answer the question of whether the Nerazzurri could get back to looking at their best conclusively.

Wins over Hellas Verona last weekend and then Spezia yesterday have given a clearer indication than the backs-to-the-wall defensive display to take three points away from the Bianconeri.

Inter controlled much of possession, did not allow the home side to unsettle them with their pressing, and were more than worth the 3-1 win on the balance of play and chances.

Now, the Nerazzurri have returned to looking like the team who won matches like these on a consistent basis to steamroll the league for an eight-match winning run, and they will be targeting playing like this for the remainder of the campaign.
