Inter could have a major advantage in the race to sign Paulo Dybala on a free transfer this summer in that they are the player’s preferred destination.

This according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi, who reported on his YouTube channel, via FCInter1908, that sources confirm the 28-year-old would like to make the switch to the Nerazzurri over any other clubs.

Dybala will Juventus when his contract expires at the end of June having failed to agree on an extension with the Bianconeri, but he could still want to stay within Serie A for next season.

Inter could be a convenient club for the Argentine to move to given that it would not constitute nearly as much of an uprooting of his current life off the pitch as a move to another league would, and would give him the chance to keep fighting for titles.

According to Barzaghi, the player’s current thinking is in fact oriented towards a move to the Nerazzurri over any other club.

“It looks to be more and more confirmed by Argentine and English sources that Inter would be Dybala’s preferred destination,” he said, “and he could wait around for them to do the necessary work of trimming the squad and getting rid of big salaries.”
