Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic was his team’s standout player in their 3-1 win over Spezia in Serie A yesterday evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who gave the Croat a score of 7.5/10 in their player ratings for the match, the highest of any Nerazzurri player.

Brozovic scored his first goal of the season in Serie A, though it was not his first in all competitions having scored against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Champions League.

This goal was virtually the last remaining thing for the Croat to do to prove himself a complete player in the centre of the pitch, as his overall display against Spezia demonstrated.

The 29-year-old was all over the pitch in and out of possession and kept the team ticking over to ensure that they didn’t have too much trouble taking the three points back to Milan.

Meanwhile, Danilo D’Ambrosio and second half substitute Lautaro Martinez came close to Brozovic by being given 7/10 scores by the newspaper, as did coach Simone Inzaghi for how he set the team up.
