Former Inter defender Daniele Adani feels that Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca has undoubted quality but must still improve his game moving forward.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, Adani gave the view that the 23-year-old Inter target must still develop as a player even though he has already shown that he is very good.

Scamacca is one of the Nerazzurri’s priority targets in attack for next season, and the club’s pursuit of him suggest that they are fully convinced that he has the right qualities to lead the line for them for seasons to come.

The 23-year-old has displayed why this is the case on a number of occasions already this campaign, including an excellent performance in the Neroverdi’s 2-0 win over Inter at the San Siro in which he scored a very well-taken goal.

However, the striker’s form hasn’t been totally consistent, and this could be something that he must work on in order to be the level of player that Inter want him to be.

“Scamacca has already shown some good qualities,” Adani said. “He needs to improve, though we know he’s a good player.”
