Inter will be hoping that they can put a precedent of bad results in semi-finals in their Coppa Italia semi-final second leg clash with the Rossoneri tomorrow evening.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who highlight that the Nerazzurri have experienced semi-final heartbreak in the competition several times and will be going out in search of redemption.

The Nerazzurri tasted bitter elimination at the hands of the Rossoneri from the Champions League in the semi-final stage of the 2003 edition of the competition, drawing 1-1 in the second leg after a goalless first leg.

Away goals did Inter in on that occasion, and they will be desperate to avoid a similar situation, by beating their city rivals outright tomorrow evening.

After winning the Coppa in 2010 and 2011, the Nerazzurri have never won it and have gone out at this stage against the likes of Roma in 2013, Napoli in 2020, and Juventus 2021, and they will be motivated to reverse this trend.
