Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi is anticipating an offer from Inter in the summer with the 34-year-old set to leave his club in the summer.

This according to yesterday’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero, who report that the defender would like to link up with former Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi at Inter but that Juventus are also interested.

Acerbi looks close to the exit door in the Italian capital, with the club needing to offload him in order to make room for the wages of AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli who they’re aiming to sign on a free transfer.

The defender is ready to make the switch to another club in the summer, and the Nerazzurri are one of the main candidates linked with his signature during the summer transfer window.

Inter’s city rivals AC Milan have also been linked with a move for him, as have Juventus, and it remains to be seen if Inter will be ready to try and beat out this competition for the defender.
