Serie B side Monza want to sign Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi if they reach Serie A next season, and they could do so on loan with an obligation to buy him.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri would be ready to sell the 26-year-old for an offer of €15-20 million.
Sensi’s future at Inter is a major doubt, with the former Sassuolo midfielder having struggled to find a prominent place in the team and currently on loan with Sampdoria.
The Nerazzurri would not want to sell the midfielder for a loss, but at around €15-20 million they could make a capital gain in their next budget as he currently weighs for €14.9 million in the budget.
The relationship is good between Inter and Monza, and so even though the Lombard club almost certainly wouldn’t be able to sign him outright immediately, they could loan him with an obligation to buy him outright.
This would be a similar operation to the deals which saw goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and defender Lorenzo Pirola join Monza, with the Nerazzurri having a counter-option in both cases.
