Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is still dreaming of a return to Inter this summer, though a move would be difficult for the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Belgian is still in regular contacts with former teammates as well as club directors and is pushing for a move.

Lukaku remains unhappy in London as his move to Chelsea has continued to fail to meet summer expectations, while his relationship with coach Thomas Tuchel is not good.

The 28-year-old has made no secret of his desire to return to the Nerazzurri and has continued to ask about the possibility when he has communicated with club directors.

A deal for the Belgian would still be very difficult financially, and would require both a very significant cut to the striker’s salary as well as Chelsea agreeing to an initial paid loan deal.

However, the player’s desire could become and important factor, and right now he is doing everything that he can to facilitate a summer return.
