Wingback Matteo Darmian could start for Inter in this evening’s Coppa Italia clash with AC Milan, though Denzel Dumfries continues to be the favourite on the right.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that coach Simone Inzaghi will make his final decisions for the starting eleven in the semi-final second leg in today’s training session.

Dumfries has cemented himself as the first-choice starter on the right ahead of Darmian, but the Dutchman has showed some tiredness recently, and the coach could decide to turn to the experience and defensive solidity of Darmian.

The Dutchman remains the favourite for the start, but a start for Darmian cannot be ruled out.

Meanwhile, Joaquin Correa is in contention for a starting place in attack alongside either Edin Dzeko or Lautaro Martinez, as Inzaghi continues to think about what his most effective attacking pair would be.
