Inter could sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic on loan if they are unable to sign Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca or Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Serb is the Nerazzurri’s main backup option if they are unable to secure one of their priority targets in attack.

Jovic has continued to struggle for playing time and form in the Spanish capital, with the 24-year-old not coming close to his goalscoring peak with Eintracht Frankfurt during the 2018-19 season.

The Merengues could be ready to let the striker leave on loan next season as he does not appear to feature in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for the team going forward.

The 24-year-old would not be Inter’s main option in attack, but given that they could still face difficulties making signing their main targets financially viable, they are keeping him in mind as a serious option.
