Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu was the least convincing player in Inter’s 3-0 win over AC Milan yesterday evening, though far from bad according to Italian media.

The 28-year-old received a score of 6/10 in the player ratings for the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg published in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Calhanoglu had not yet managed to win a Milan derby against his former team since making the move between cross-city rivals last summer, though he had played well particularly in the league derby in November where he really announced himself in a Nerazzurri shirt.

The Turk did what he had to do to help the team keep things ticking over in their resurgent first half yesterday evening, though a few imprecise early passes needed to be gotten past.

Calhanoglu was eventually substituted off for Arturo Vidal midway through the second half, and while the Turk will be happy with the derby win in such important circumstances, he will perhaps feel that he could have had more of an impact individually.
