Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal could be ruled out of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Roma on Saturday after picking up an ankle sprain in yesterday’s Coppa Italia clash with AC Milan.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 34-year-old is a doubt for the clash with the Giallorossi, whilst Alessandro Bastoni has not injury problems and will be fit for the match.

Vidal came on as a substitute for Hakan Calhanoglu midway through the second half of Inter’s 3-0 win over the Rossoneri, and in his time on the pitch the Chilean picked up an ankle sprain while rushing back to stop Rossoneri attack.

It is not yet certain how serious the problem is, but Vidal trained individually today and his availability is a serious doubt for the match against Roma.

Meanwhile, Bastoni had to come off late on in yesterday’s match, but this was only a matter of cramp and not a serious injury which will sideline him for any time.
