Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is committed to continuing on with the Nerazzurri for seasons to come, according to his agent.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, the striker’s agent Alejandro Camano spoke of the 24-year-old being happy at the club, enjoying a good relationship with his coach, and wanting to stay and win trophies.

Martinez signed a contract extension with Inter in the fall, committing to the club until the end of June 2026.

This came after the Argentine had been the subject of transfer interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs during last summer’s transfer window, and appeared to put uncertainty about his future to rest.

However, the interest in Martinez has never really went away, and transfer speculation has reignited in recent weeks as the possibility has been raised that the Nerazzurri could cash in on the striker to meet financial targets.

According to the player’s agent, however, this is not something that he is looking for, as he remains happy at and committed to Inter.

“He renewed with Inter because he feels like he’s an important part of a great project,” Camano said. “And if Inter enjoy success, Lautaro is happy.”

Regarding the effects of transfer rumours on the player, he said that “The important thing is what you see on the pitch!”

“The players are united and the Inter fans are happy,” he said. “And next year his objective is to keep growing.”

Asked about whether Martinez would welcome a return for his former strike partner Romelu Lukaku to Inter, Camano responded that “Whatever’s best for Inter is great for Lautaro.”

Regarding the ambition to win the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia, he said “The aim at a club like Inter is always to win everything.”

And regarding Martinez’s relationship with Inzaghi, the agent said that “Everything is perfect!”
