Inter will sit down with Sassuolo to try and get closer to a deal for striker Gianluca Scamacca and midfielder Davide Frattesi in the coming weeks.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the communications remain very open with Neroverdi CEO Giovanni Carnevali and that they are ready for another round of talks over the duo.

Scamacca and Frattesi remain two of Inter’s main targets for the summer transfer window, as they look to replace aging players in the squad with younger Italian players with a lot of room to grow.

Scamacca remains the top priority to succeed Edin Dzeko in attack in the long term, whilst Frattesi has been identified as the right player to bolster the midfield with Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino setto depart.

Carnevali was in attendance at yesterday evening’s 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Coppa Italia by the Nerazzurri, where he enjoyed the match and also spoke with Inter’s directors about talks for Scamacca and Frattesi.
