Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic once again showed that he is the “heart and soul” of Inter with his display in yesterday evening’s 3-0 Coppa Italia win over AC Milan, according to Italian Media.

The Croat’s display in the centre of the pitch was highlighted by Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who gave him a 7.5/10 grade for his performance in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition.

Brozovic capped of his impressive night with an assist for Robin Gosens’ goal late in the second half, the Nerazzurri’s third on the night.

However, this was only the tip of the iceberg as the 29-year-old continued to show that he can wrestle control of every aspect of the midfield battle for his team throughout the match.

The only player to receive a higher score than Brozovic in the player ratings for the match was Lautaro Martinez, who received a 8/10 grade for his first-half brace and confident overall display.
