Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti has said that he does not expect Inter boss Simone Inzaghi to start using a front two of Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa in the last few games of the season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW Radio, via FCInternews, Mario Sconcerti explained that Simone Inzaghi has rarely given up on Edin Dzeko this season and despite the fact that Joaquin Correa will get more game time now, Edin Dzeko will still be the main starter.

“I don’t think so, Inzaghi has rarely given up on Dzeko. He has his own regularity of performance and goals. I think Correa will find more space now but during the matches.”

Speaking about Inter’s 3-0 victory over AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Tuesday night, Mario Sconcerti said that the scoreline was excessive given the nature of the contest.

“Inter’s greater ease in finding the goal is the basic difference between the two teams. Milan plays but has difficulty in scoring. Rafael Leao assists but he is not a scorer. Inter, even when it doesn’t play well, has less difficulty finding the way to the net.

“The 3-0 is excessive, there was also the cancelled goal, an unfair but correct decision. These are all speeches that must be projected to the championship. In these five matches that are still to come, I think Inter will start with this advantage.”

Inter and AC Milan appear to be the two teams left in the title race and they both have tough games against the Roman sides this weekend.

Mario Sconcerti thinks Inter have the easier calendar after this weekend: “Roma is in good shape and is a team that scores with ease. Lazio can beat them all, but then in the end they always have a little more difficulty.

“These are very edgy matches for Inter and Milan, perhaps the last real ones left on their calendars. Anything can happen. After this round, Inter have four matches that are not too bad. Milan, however, rarely misses these matches.”
