Italian journalist Riccardo Trevisani has described Lautaro Martinez’s recent performance against AC Milan as ‘monstrous’, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on Sport Mediaset this week, via FCInter1908, Riccardo Trevisani first spoke about how Lautaro Martinez had been in seriously poor form for Inter in 2022. He then added how well the Argentine played in the 3-0 win over AC Milan on Tuesday night at San Siro.

“There was a point where Lautaro Martinez seemed to be almost a burden for Inter, almost three months without a goal. On Tuesday, he played a monstrous game, and not just for the two goals. It was impossible to anticipate him throughout the game, he put a strong man like Tomori in crisis.”

He said that Lautaro Martinez is a player that suffered the most from the dip in form that the Nerazzurri suffered in 2022 but he has been a key player again since the 1-0 win over Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

“He is one of those who suffered the most from the Nerazzurri crisis, but he is also one of those who came out better after the match against Juventus.”

Lautaro Martinez scored Inter’s first two goals against AC Milan in front of a packed San Siro crowd on Tuesday night and the Robin Gosens wrapped up the victory with his first goal for the club.

Inter will face Juventus in the Coppa Italia final.
