Juventus forward Federico Bernardeschi has said that both Inter and Juventus are great teams after it was confirmed that they will contest the Coppa Italian final, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media yesterday.

Speaking during an interview with Sport Mediaset after the Bianconeri’s win over Juventus on Wednesday night, via FCInter1908, Federico Bernardeschi showed that he thinks his side can beat Intr in the final.

“The strongest teams arrive at the final, Inter are a great team, but we are too.”

Federico Bernardeschi has been lacking game time in recent weeks under Max Allegri but he was put into the starting lineup against Fiorentina for the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg.

He scored the first goal of the game to put Juventus 2-0 up on aggregate and in the driving seat. Danilo scored late on to confirm their place in the cup final with Inter who knocked out AC Milan the night before.

He was clearly happy to score the goal, saying: “Important goal, I’m happy, I hadn’t played for three months. The important thing was to go to the final, a goal we wanted to achieve. We needed it so badly. Winning in front of our fans is double the satisfaction.”
