Former Inter midfielder Luigi Di Biagio has said that the clash between the Nerazzurri and AS Roma is a game between two teams that are in great shape, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with AGI, the former midfielder who played for both of the teams that will do battle at San Siro on Saturday focused on the improved form of Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma side in recent weeks.

“It’s a match between two teams in good shape: Roma are finding their identity, lately they are more continuous, they are in a very good physical condition, they must continue like this, both in the Championship and in the Conference League.”

He then showed that he feels very similarly about Inter’s form and resurgence in recent weeks, but he did mention that the Nerazzurri have more to lose than AS Roma given they are in the midst of the title race.

“Inter have restarted, at this moment they have more drive and motivation, they certainly have more to lose, but by now they have recovered, which is why I see them as favorites in the championship fight and ahead of the others.

“The Nerazzurri have a game to recover against Bologna and are only two points behind the Rossoneri, widely beaten in the Coppa Italia derby but still top of their class in the league.”

In terms of which players will be the most important for Inter, Luigi Di Biagio feels that Edin Dzeko will play given the game is against his former club.

“Correa is in great shape, but I have the feeling that Dzeko will play, also aiming at the psychological card.”
