Former Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo has said that no team had been able to escape at the top of the table and AC Milan must win against Lazio to put pressure on Inter, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking during an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss, via FCInternews, Marco Parolo explained that no team has managed to build a definitive lead at the top of the table in Serie A so it will be interesting to see what will happen this weekend.
“No team has ever been able to escape. Inter have the inertia on their side, but we have to see what will happen this week.”
He then added that AC Milan must win against Lazio on Sunday night to keep the pressure on Inter ahead of their rescheduled match against Bologna which will be played on April 27th next week. He also mentioned that Napoli still have an outside chance of coming back into things.
“Milan must win to put pressure on the Nerazzurri in view of the rematch against Bologna. Napoli must not give up.”
Inter face AS Roma on Saturday evening and will go top with a win, at least until AC Milan play against Lazio.
