Inter forward Alexis Sanchez has said that his winning goal in the Supercoppa Italiana final against Juventus was ‘like a movie’, according to a report in the Italian print media.

Speaking during an interview for the Inter matchday program against AS Roma, via FCInternews, the Chilean forward discussed his late goal that clinched the Supercoppa Italiana for Inter, their first piece of silverware for the season.

” It was like a movie when I scored I didn’t think the game was over, then I looked at the bench and my teammates who came towards me to tell me that we had won and it was incredible.”

In terms of carrying on and winning more trophies, Alexis Sanchez feels that the team are on the right path now to win the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia but they need everyone in the squad to perform at their best.

“We won the Scudetto last season and the Super Cup this year. Scoring that goal against Juventus was wonderful, everyone was happy, my teammates and the fans: we are on the right path and we must continue like this and concentrate to play to the maximum in all the games that remain, we have talented and experienced players and we need everyone.”

Chatting about being a footballer in a more general sense, Alexis Sanchez picked out former Inter striker Ronaldo as a player that immediately comes to mind when he is thinking about the best players of all time.

“Becoming a footballer has been my biggest dream since I was a child, I love football and even today when I’m on the pitch I’m happy, it’s the thing I love most and it will be like that forever.

“If I think of the Nerazzurri champions I think of Ronaldo, the Phenomenon, the best of all time. He has always had intelligence and speed, he’s a player who has enchanted the field like no one else.”
