Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has said that the more goals Lautaro Martinez scores this season, the more likely it is that he will be on the move in the summer, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport, via FCInter1908, Gianluca Di Marzio explained the transfer situation around Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentine is the player that many feel will be sold in the summer if Inter need to raise money through player sales to balance the financial situation.

Gianluca Di Marzio think Inter must foresee the sale of a big player this summer and if Lautaro Martinez keeps scoring, he will be targeted in the transfer market.

“It will depend on the strategy of the club that I think should forsee a sale, as unfortunately happens every year. It will depend on the offers that arrive and for whom. The more he continues to score, the more he will be the one attacked by the market.”

He then explained that there is interest in him from Premier League sides but Atletico Madrid in La Liga are also an attractive proposition. He doesn’t feel that Barcelona will be able to afford the player.

“We know that he is a player that is liked a lot in England and Spain, which certainly could intrigue him more. Either Atletico Madrid or Barcelona, I don’t think Inter will offer him out, on the contrary. It will take a big offer, I don’t think Barça will be able to make such an investment.”
