Inter boss Simone Inzaghi could have a more successful debut season in charge of the team than any coach before him, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, having already won the Supercoppa Italiana this season, if Simone Inzaghi manages to win the domestic treble and deliver the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia, he will have had the most successful debut season of any Inter coach in history.

The record is currently held by Jose Mourinho who won the Supercoppa and the Scudetto in his first season back in 2008/09.

Ironically, it is Jose Mourinho who could make it a lot harder for Simone Inzaghi to break the record as the pair face each other on Saturday evening at San Siro.

Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma side are in good form right now and will be Inter’s toughest opponent in the remaining few games of the Serie A season.
