AC Milan have no interest in joining Inter in the race to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku ahead of next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Beglian would not be a target for the Rossoneri despite some rumours which have emerged recently from England.

Lukaku’s future remains in serious doubt given that he has failed to settle in at Chelsea since his big-money move from the Nerazzurri during last summer’s transfer window.

The 28-year-old has made no secret that he would like a return to Inter, and the Nerazzurri are considering whether they could make a move for him feasible.

However, should Inter not decide to pursue Lukaku, the striker could nevertheless exit from Chelsea after just one season with the London-based club.

According to the Gazzetta, though, there is no chance that this would be to Milan, with the Rossoneri close to agreeing a deal with Liverpool’s Divock Origi on a free transfer and also considering moves for Ajax’s Sebastien Haller and Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca instead.
