Inter wingback Ivan Perisic is not yet certain about what next season holds for him, but right now his only concern is focusing on the pursuit of the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia with Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN ahead of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Roma this evening, the 33-year-old emphasized focusing on the pitch rather than being distracted by other considerations.

Perisic’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June, though given his importance to the team this campaign the club are reportedly hoping to get an extension agreed with him.

So far nothing has been conclusively worked out with the wingback’s situation, and a big part of the reason is that the team are in the midst of the most important part of their season in terms of fighting for trophies.

Inter will face six more decisive matches in Serie A and a Coppa Italia final against Juventus over the coming weeks and Perisic’s focus is only on these right now, though his future will be dealt with in due time.

“I’m only talking about my present, and on the matches that remain,” he said. “We’ll talk about my future later.”
