Inter wingback Ivan Perisic knows that from now until the end of the season, the Nerazzurri must do everything to take maximum points to guarantee themselves the Serie A title.

Speaking to InterTV ahead of his side’s Serie A clash with Roma this evening, the Croat emphasized that it will be a must-win match for them and that all of their other matches are as well.

Inter’s fate is in their own hands in the Scudetto race at the moment, as if they are to win each of their six remaining matches in Serie A, they are mathematically guaranteed to finish at the top of the table.

However, there is absolutely no margin for error, as any dropped points will gave AC Milan a route back in should the Rossoneri take maximum points, while Napoli are also still lurking close behind.

For this reason, each match going forward in the league has the same potential significance for trophies as a final, while the Nerazzurri also find themselves in the actual final of the Coppa Italia against Juventus.

Of this evening’s match, Perisic said that “They’re doing well and so are we, there are no more big or small matches, they’re all finals.”

“We have to stay focused against Roma and against all the other teams to come,” he added. “We must fully concentrate for every match and win them all.”

Of his assist record this season, the 33-year-old said that “I’ve always said that I like assists more than goals, that’s why I always try to find my teammates, but the important thing is that the team wins so let’s hope that I make more assists before the end of the season.”

And on his versatility, Perisic said that “In my career I ‘ve played in various positions but I feel more comfortable on the left wing.”
