This evening’s Serie A clash between Inter and Roma at the San Siro will pit the two goalkeepers who have kept the most clean sheets in the league this season against one another.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight the fact that the Nerazzurri’s Samir Handanovic and the Giallorossi’s Rui Patricio each have made a habit of not having to pick the ball up from out of the back of the net.

Inter have the best defense in Serie A this season so far with 25 goals conceded in total, whilst Roma have the fifth with 37, more than any of the teams in the top four but fewer than any of the teams below them.

AC Milan are actually the team who have kept the most clean sheets in Serie A so far this season, with their six in a row recently having taken them to fifteen in total.

However, starting Rossoneri keeper Mike Maignan was absent for six of those matches, and so Handanovic’s fourteen in total and Patricio’s thirteen make them the two keepers with the most.
